Hit by DOS Attack

By JULIETTE ROSSANT Apologies to all, but superchefblog's webhost was slammed by a DOS "Tsunami" AKA "Nuke Attack." DOS is tech talk for "Denial of Service," which as CERT describes has the primary goal of denying the victim(s) access to a particular computer resource by either flooding a network's traffic, disrupting computer connections, or disrupting service to a specific system or person. DOS may even be part of a larger attack. Sinister. Scary. This was a human attack -- more comparable, therefore, to the situation in Darfur than to the Tsunami-affected region... But superchefblog is back online now.
