Tsunami Update 9: Dining to Donate, Pret-A-Porter

By JULIETTE ROSSANT

Tsunami Restaurant of West Palm Beach

Some businesses might consider a new name if their current one contains "tsunami" -- but not Tsunami of Palm Beach, according to The Palm Beach Post.

Rather, the restaurant's "ready-to-wear" name is helping it leverage relief fundraising, executive chef Andrew Rothschild told The Post. Two benefits to date have raised over $12,000 for victims, and another is scheduled for tomorrow, January 27, 2005. A $25 donation to UNICEF USA (one of superchefblog's two most recommended donation recipients) buys hors d'oeuvres and two drinks.
