Get Your piPod for Your iPod!...

By JULIETTE ROSSANT

piPodPizza by the iPod?

You bet: it's called piPod.

Yes thanks to fellow food blog SliceNY, you can download a handy-dandy reference guide the the pizzeria's of New York City's five boroughs. SliceNY proudly declares its piPod is "quick-and-dirty on-the-go" -- very New York, very cutting edge.

Grimald'sTechnically speaking, simply make sure your iPod has Notes Reader capability in its software. Then, download either Windows or Mac files (only 84k). Drag the resulting piPod folder from your computer to your iPod's Notes folder. To access, go from the main menu to Extras, to Notes, to piPod to find great New York pizza, borough by borough. (Being New York-born, I have to take my stand on pizza -- proudly and hands-down Grimaldi's Pizzeria over all others. Read what SliceNY says about Grimaldi's.)

Of the podcasting, mobile-casting I have seen so far, this service really beats the pants off of Emeril's future recipes on iPod, or Epicurious' recipes on mobile phone. Those services are for people without printers: piPod is foodies on the move. Me, I want the t-shirt!

What a great idea that is!! I'll have to get that ASAP. And yes, Grimaldi's Pizzeria has, IMHO, the best pizza in New York. Haven't tried Di Fara yet, though!
