Julia Child Tribute at Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
By JULIETTE ROSSANT On Sunday, April 23, 2005, The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will hold a tribute to Julia Child in the form of a panel discussion of her life and legacy.The panelists are:

Given other major tribute announcements (see previous article), it seems like this will be a wonderful late Spring for Food -- if only Julia were here to celebrate with us, instead of us celebrating her memory! Well, the cup will be a bit bitter, but thanks to her mostly very sweet. There is a Persian expression about missing someone -- a very factual yet poetic saying: jaa-ye shomaa khaalii-e ("Your place is empty").
