Cat Cora Wins on Iron Chef America

By JULIETTE ROSSANT

Cat Cora, Iron ChefCat Cora and her team defeated Alex Lee and team last night on Iron Chef America. Her blitz made for a double-header win for women chefs, thanks to Anita Lo's victory over Mario Batali earlier in the evening (see previous article).

Hurrah!

"Everyone was super-excited that the time had come for a female Iron Chef," Cat told superchefblog.

How did Cat get on Iron Chef America?
I was doing The Today Show in New York last year, and when I was walking out of the studio, I got a call asking me if I would like to be the first female Iron Chef. It took me nearly a second to blurt out: "OF COURSE I DO!"
Good for her -- and for us, since watching this Cat dance in the kitchen is fun. Her presence helps recapture some of the excitement of the original Japanese Iron Chef.

just a few comments about manfred krankl. just because he makes great wine, it doesn't mean that in the real world of people and emotions, he's had much success as a human being. pour that into a glass and swish it around in your mouth.
