To be a White House Chef, a candidate CANNOT HAVE ANY CRIMINAL RECORD or any such affiliations....many of the celebrity chefs these days are all coke heads... basically celebrities... the culinary world has changed drastically in the recent years, and that is one of the biggest changes.

The meaning is no longer what it used to be... it is more about the "fame" and celebrity... as well as covering up the fact that many of them are raging drunks and huge assholes to boot.

Factually, I have known of attempts to procure "other" persona's... I.D.'s simply to hide those facts and foreward themselves wrongfully in the business as it used to be policed fairly well... but any more, it's just another scam.

Cool Blog Though... especially if it were that things were still what the James Beard sort of thing meant in the U.S.... before such change in focus.

The U.S. is failed before it has even begun anymore. Sadly and mostly because of those changes. Sure, the "facade" is still there... but it is just a realm of celebrity now and nothing much else.

You might as well be asking people to vote for their favorite egocentric celebrity.... "Yo."
