1st Summer Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting

By JULIETTE ROSSANT Project by Project's New York chapter has organized a new summer food and wine event which includes courses taught by Eleven Madison Park chef Kerry Heffernan and Food and Wine critic Peter Kaminsky. National sponsors are Ralph Lauren and Comcast: food sponsors include D'Artagnan, Sullivan Street Bakery, Eileen's Cheesecake, and Robert Mondavi winery among others. When: June 24, 2005 Where: Metropolitan Pavilion Gallery at 123 W 18 Street The organizer, Project By Project New York, is part of a "national volunteer organization of social entrepreneurs that serves Asian American non-profits in need by raising public awareness, volunteerism and capital" (click here to read more). The beneficiary is ECPAT-USA, which is part of an international network to "fights trafficking & sexual exploitation of children through advocacy, research, and education" (click here to read more).
