Update: Save Julia Child's TV Channel
By JULIETTE ROSSANT MoveOn.org, organizers of the online petition to save funding for PBS—that's Julia Child's TV Channel for us Foodies—has the following to report: What are they talking about? Oh, not much -- just one million online signatures in one week: "As far as we know, this is the most Americans to ever sign a petition in a single week, and it's one of the larger petitions in recent U.S. history" If you have not yet signed up, click here to sign right now (or click here to read superchefblog's previous article first). If you have signed up, there is something you can do even faster than emailing (and it's never this fast otherwise): I have done this, and others have, too: no call took more than 30 seconds, from dialing to hanging up. If you're feeling extra responsible, you can take a few seconds more, click here, and just let MoveOn.org know that you called (so they can account for callers).
