Emeril Wolfs Lunch at Zaytinya
By JULIETTE ROSSANT Food Network superstar super chef Emeril Lagasse burst into Jose Andres' restaurant Zaytinya on the run to his talk for Food Culture USA this week during the Smithsonian 2005 Folklife Festival, according to The Washington Post. With security detail in tow, he wolfed down lunch in 10 minutes, signed autographs for 10 minutes, and still managed to zip over a few blocks for his gig. The Post kindly hoped that "a package of Tums was included in his doggie bag."Previous articles: Todd Gray Champions Mid-Atlantic Cuisine Jose Andres: Zaytinya, with Ladies in Lavender Smithsonian Folklife Festival: Food Culture USA Emeril Lagasse: iPod ReciPods Technorati Tags: chefs food restaurants cooking branding cuisine festivals Smithsonian Emeril --> back to superchefblog |

Poor Emeril,
The whole point of dining at a place like that is to eat (the mostly Greek meze) slowly and enjoy life. Maybe next time!
