Emeril Lagasse might have been first on the scene with his Epi To Go, a free service that allows you to send Epicurious recipes directly to your cell phone (see previous article), but England's Jamie Oliver has trumped even Emeril.

Vodafone live! with 3G is offering downloads of video clips of his 100 top recipes. The clips come from the Food Network's Oliver's Twist, which was never shown in the UK: 25 clips are currently available .

Jamie Oliver is quoted in Vodafone's press release:
Anyone can be a great cook, they just need the right recipes and some clear instructions. Now, through Vodafone live! with 3G,you can catch me preparing one of over one hundred dishes and then get the list of ingredients straigt to your phone. So, whether you’re in the bus queue or wandering around the supermarket with no idea what to cook tonight, I’ll always be on hand to deliver some inspiration.
The new service was launched two weeks ago. Inventa, the British company behind the service, edited the recipes down to three-minute video clips. One recipe costs 75p (currently $1.28), and a picture messages providing a list of the ingredients can also be downloaded to the phone, for an additional 75p. The recipes are searchable by event or ingredient.

To date 340,0000 customers can access the video downloads.

Vodafone Live! also has downloads from Discovery, Sky, and MTV -- but Jamie's is the only recipe content so far.
