Japan Un-Bans Foie Gras
By JULIETTE ROSSANT ![]() While cities in the States and other countries are imposing bans, Japan has just lifted its ban on French poultry imports -- including foie gras, reports AFX News wire service, picked up by Forbes. A four-month suspension had been in place, due to concerns about bird flu. Among France's foie gras customers, Japan ranks fourth after Spain, Switzerland and Belgium at 400 tons (2005). Guess where Americans might have to flock in order to gavage down foie gras on tourist vacations?.......
