Cat Cora Joins Bon Appetit
By JULIETTE ROSSANT ![]() Two years ago, Superchefblog hailed up-and-coming chef-cum-star Cat Cora when she joined Iron Chef America. In 2005, we nominated her among two score women chefs to be the next White House Chef in a reader's poll which she won. Late last year, Superchefblog applauded Cat's non-profit organization Chefs for Humanity, particular humanitarian work in the Gulf region after Hurricane Katrina. Bon Appetit Magazine has also been taking notice: they have named her Executive Chef for their magazine. Cat is perhaps the closest match possible to Sara Moulton, long-tme Executive Chef of Gourmet Magazine. Since Conde Nast owns both magazines, and Sara been doing a terrific job for years, it seems clear that Bon Appetit is copying this successful paring. How does the saying go? Imitation is the highest form of flattery.Cat Cora : St. Patrick's: Cat Takes Hat Cat Cora Talks Money to Forbes Cat Cora: Chefs for Humanity Results: White House Woman Chef Cat Cora, Anita Lo: Sexing Up Iron Chef America Profile: Cat Cora for White House Chef Cat Cora Wins on Iron Chef America Cat Cora: Iron Chef America's First Lady World AIDS Day II: Iron Chef Cat Cora Sara Moulton: Sara Moulton: Sara's Secrets Profile: Sara Moulton for White House Chef Julia Child: The Queen is Dead Previous articles: Chefs & Branding Technorati Tags: superchefblog, Juliette Rossant, super chef, celebrities, chefs, food, restaurants, cooking, branding, cuisine, blogging, food blogging --> back to superchefblog |
