Hanoch Piven: My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks

The answer, more often than not, includes a piece of food, especially when he describes the family dog, Schmutz: I'll be honest with you... Schmutz stinks! Schmutz is as stinky as an ONION. He's as nasty as canned Fish. as icky as PEPPERONI, and as smelly as DIRTY SOCKS (turn the page at your own risk….) The pictures of Schmutz (and the rest of the family) are collages. Kids who read the book will want to make collage pictures of their own families. Don't worry about them playing with food... Just cut out pictures from your favorite food magazine advertisements, and let the kids go to work. Your portrait may not look pretty, but you might be yummy enough to eat.
