FOOD FLICKS: R.I.P. Chef Pavarotti

By Juliette Rossant In the wake of the death of Luciano Pavarotti, Super Chef searched high and low for Pavarotti footage for today's Food Flick. We found a wedding stage featuring impersonations by Miss Piggy and Pavarotti. No footage about Pavarotti himself eating or drinking -- though at least one interesting article "Cooking with Pavarotti." Then came a flood of memories: singing "Ms. Sarajevo" with U2 (here are the lyrics -- and Bono's tribute -- and BBC radio interview), singing "La Donna e Mobile" with the Three Tenors, singing "Nessun Dorma", or just singing opera -- any performance sparkled because of the magic exhaled when one said that word... "Pavarotti!" Here is a humble, silly kitchen ditty, however, which shows just how far el Maestro had penetrated into the Lower Depths -- even kitchens. Enjoy!
