Rachael Ray: Think You Can Cook?
By JULIETTE ROSSANT How many ways are there to land your own TV cooking show, or at least appear on one of the shows? You could pick from FN's The Next Food Network Star, The Next Iron Chef America, Bravo's Top Chef to name a few. If you are still an amateur, more than 18 years old, with a desire to be opposite from Rachael Ray on her show, then get out your videocam and start shooting -- then mail in the requirements before September 27th and start chewing your fingernails. ![]() So You Think You Can Cook? is Rachael's new gimmick to get home cooks who aspire to be just like Rach herself. Home cooks send in videos about why they are so good. Rachael and her producers choose five finalist who come on her show to compete. The winn'ers prize is to have one of their best recipes published in a future issue of Every Day with Rachael Ray magazine. The winner will also appear in a cooking segment on The Rachael Ray Show -- Rach, she'll be your assistant. Lastly, you get a five-day cooking course at the CIA in Hyde Park, NY. You can watch a video of Rach going over the contest and read the rules on her website.
