Washingtonian: Power 150 - Jose Andres

By JULIETTE ROSSANT

Washingtonian Power 150, October 2007 Who makes the cut for the power elite of our nation's capital.

Chefs do.

Jose Andres, DC's chef-to-watch, rates a separate photo in the Washingtonian's annual line up of the Power 150.
The Spanish chef/restaurateur (Jaleo, Zaytinya, Oyamel) introducted the small plates concept here and transformed the dining landscape. (p. 82)
But that is not all.

Jose Andres, from Washingtonian 2006 Jose also has a leading Spanish-language cooking show, Vamos a Cocinar. He supports Spanish culture like the Post Classical Ensemble led by Angel Gil Ordonez. He has restaurants in Virginia and Maryland that, like all super chefs, range from fine dining to more casual -- don’t be surprised to see him opening in New York, Las Vegas, or LA -- soon?
