Why Do I Have To Eat Off The Floor?

By JULIETTE ROSSANT

Why Do I Have to Eat Off the Floor?, by Chris Hornsey Read Why Do I Have to Eat Off the Floor? (Walker & Co 2007) by Chris Hornsey and illustrated by Gwyn Perkins after a difficult meal when the kids won't stay seated or won't eat what you give them. You'll laugh and they'll laugh. The text is easy enough for a beginning reader, but the illustrations are reminiscent of sophisticated cartoons in the New Yorker.

There are plenty of questions (and answers) asked by a dog named Murphy to a family – the very same questions most kids ask their parents. And the food? Tea time with a big yellow cake, and dinner time for the dog (some pink stuff for his bowl). If your dog is having trouble understanding that he is not human, include him.
