Mario Batali’s Garden

There is no better way to prove your commitment to fresh vegetables and kid’s nutrition then creating a teachable vegetable garden. That’s just what Mario Batali has done.

His Edible Garden at the New York Botanical Garden is a gift to young New Yorkers, full of opportunities to learn about food, cooking, and gardening.

Kids and their families can explore the garden plots like Batali’s Berry Patch; Babbo Beets, Beans, Garlic, and Greens Garden; and Otto Pizza Garden or try Mario’s Menu Mystery Scavenger Hunt.

For the coming week, catch these cooking demonstrations:

Tuesday – Sunday; 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.

  • Special guests for Saturday, September 10: Eataly Vegetable Butcher, Alicia Walter and Eataly Chef of Le Verdure, Kiah Lotus
  • Special guests for Sunday, September 18: Esca Restaurant Chef Katie O’Donnell and Casa Mono Chef Anthony Sasso

Mario will be at cooking on Sept. 24-25. Click here for more information.
